A Good Life

Do not worry;
eat three square meals a day;
     say your prayers;
be courteous to your creditors;
     keep your digestion good;
     exercise; go slowly and easy.
Maybe there are other things your special case
     requires to make you happy;
     but, my friend,
these I reckon will give you a good life.

     - Abraham Lincoln

Of course, I would add:  have at least a couple of tea breaks each day.

This teapot is by Homer Laughlin in the Skytone pattern.  I bought it at a little antique store in Paducah, Kentucky back in 2000.  It is such a pretty blue and I like the rather Aladdin's lamp shape.

What a beautiful teapot. I think you and I like the same style of teapot, even though I don't have anything this beautiful. Love the quote too.

I saw you visited my blog. Thanks so much. I love gracious and lovely. What a beautiful teapot collection. I'll have to tell my friend, Elaine, about your blog. She is a great fan of taking tea as well and she also has a blog. You can go there from mine if you want. Hospitalitea and her other one is Grace-Works. She is in the midst of a wedding just days away right now, but she'll be back. I'm a fan of Abe as well -- his quote there sounds just like my Papaw :) Just good common sense, I guess. Well, enjoyed my visit to your blog and I will be back soon.

What a great teapot! I've never seen one with the accent colors designed quite that way, and I surely thought I'd seen just about every kind of teapot out there. Just proves there is always something new and unique just around the bend! (I like your quote, too!)
