Teacup Tuesday – Royal Albert & Wedgwood

This week I’m showing a Royal Albert teacup and a couple of Wedgwood teapots (or teapot and coffee pot).  The Brigadoon pattern with its soft colored thistles is quite pretty and a change from my usual floral cups.

P8161867The teacup has a lovely Montrose shaped bowl on a footed base.

P8161869 The Brigadoon pattern was introduced in 1963 and discontinued in 1991.P8161872  P8161873

P8161875

This piece is an older version of my Wedgwood Edme pattern.

P8161870 P8161871This Wedgwood Queen’s Ware teapot is one of my favorites and I love it and the rest of my Edme tableware.

P8161876

I’d like to add to this set and also see what pieces can be found in the older pattern with the pretty leafy  bands.

Please see  Terri and Martha's blogs – they are the ladies who host Tea Cup Tuesday and also Wanda Lee who hosts Tuesday Tea For Two.

Beautiful! I love this cup and saucer. The pattern is so lovely as well as the coloring. The tea pot is also very regal. I can see why you love it.
Hugs,
Terri

Oh I do love the thistles. Very Scottish. I also really like your all white teapot. It is very simple but extremely elegant looking. Take care.

Oh, the Brigadoon pattern is lovely! I do love the colors....a bit different from the pinks on so many cups.

Beautiful site. Your coffee pot is Ceres pattern on Edme blank. We specialize in Wedgwood with many tea cups, but have quite a bit of Ceres pattern in stock. Check alexisantiques.com, click Browse Inventory from dark blue bar on the left, then type in Ceres into the browser bar. You can email us from the website or at wedgwood@alexisantique.com

since Wedgewood bought out Royal Doulton 2 years ago I have had a great deal of trouble getting my shipment. I am so sorry that they decided to eliminate the collectible tea series AND the birthday of the month cups and saucers. They were the best ones available. They will continue the 100 years of Royal Doulton seriesfor which I am glad!

Oh, beautiful!! Its colors are rather unusual, which I think adds to the teacup's beauty.

I LOVE the plain white teapot. Something so beautiful about the simple, clean look of plain white.

Blessings,
Patti

Very lovely teapots. The one entitled, 'Brigadoon' reminded me of the beautiful, fun movie starring Gene Kelly.
I hope you have a terrific weekend,
Kathy
