Tea and Toast

Bread and water can so easily be toast and tea.

tea and toast

Since childhood I’ve been what my Mom always called a “worry wart”.  I admire those friends who are optimists and who seem to take the many ups and downs of modern living in stride.

The Word Detective has some interesting facts about the definition of the term “worry wart”.  For those of you who may never have heard the term and for a little word humor, you can check out their website here.

My Aunt Ida was the worry wart in our family. She worried all the time, especially about family members. I guess it didn't hurt her too much, considering she lived to just a few months shy of 96.

I have heard the term worry wart! I try not to worry too much but sometimes we just can't help it.
Thanks for popping in to see me and have a wonderful 4th!

Darling you were called a worry wart and I was called a worrygut and truth be told, to this day I continue to be one. I envy those who simply ignore matters of worry. Have a blessed and lovely July darling.

Love & hugs
Duchess

Oh yes...a worry wart! My mother was definitely one, and I was, too, when I was younger, but I've learned..with age..to not "sweat the small stuff" as the saying goes! My 2 sons "kind of" inherited that trait, though, so I hope they too will outgrow it someday soon! I'll have to check out the site about the definition!
