This weeks bone china teacup is by Royal Albert in the Trillium pattern.
The pretty footed teacup is in the Montrose shape.
The white trillium became the floral emblem for the Province of Ontario in 1937. It is also an official symbol of the Government of Ontario.
I can remember driving by large roadside patches of trilliums in Northern Ontario when I was a child. They are a protected plant on conservation area land and in provincial parks.
The large white trillium is also the Ohio state wild flower.

Hello Dear,
that tea cup is beautiful. Trillium is such a elegant flower. For me, Royal Albert make the best of flower tea sets and Montrose shape is beautiful, too. Thank you so much for sharing this beauty.
Best greetings, Johanna
Truly lovely Royal Albert in the Trillium pattern. Good info, too! Happy tea Day!
The trillium is a very beautiful flower and Royal Albert has presented it beautifully on the cup and saucer!
What a beautiful cup! I love the dainty handle and the gorgeous flower pattern.
Thanks for sharing!
Blessings, Darlene
I love this pattern! I lived in Ontario for about 24 years and I enjoyed seeing Trilliums in the woods. Royal Albert did a beautiful job creating this design.
I found the third plate to your set a while back and kept it just in case someone had the tea cup and saucer but not the trio! I would love to send it to you so you will have the trio! E-mail me your address if you would like it : )

This teacup is just lovely!
Beautiful teacup!
What a beautiful teacup -- and flower! When my parents moved to a new home last year (where a garden club president had once lived), I enjoyed discovering a lot of new (to me) plants, including some gorgeous yellow trilliums!
A very beautiful cup and I have never seen one with a trillium. I love when I find trilliums in the wild, they are such a treasure.
Your trillium cup is beautiful !
One of my favorite wildflowers !
SO beautiful - one of my favorite flowers. I found these at Replacements Ltd and may have to order a cup and saucer!
Love the Trillium cup. I have one similar, also by Royal Albert... but the cup background is black... very striking!
