I’m not sure that I have any teacups that you haven’t already seen on Teacup Tuesday, but I do know that I haven’t shown you my miniature teacups that adorn my tabletop “tea tree” each Christmas. I’ve been collecting these miniature teacups, teapots, spoons, jugs, tiered tea trays, etc. for many years now.
This one is a Spode cup in the Christmas Tree pattern. I also have the matching Spode teapots.
This next one is Old Country Roses and was made for their Ruby Anniversary celebration. Many of you have these in full size cups.
I’m sure you recognize this Wedgwood Jasper Ware cup and saucer. This is one of my favorite tea tree ornaments. I would surely love to own this in a full size cup – what collector wouldn’t?
Many well known china companies produce miniatures. They are a perfect collectible for people with little storage space or for those that like to collect on a budget.
Be sure to visit Terri and Martha for Teacup Tuesday and Wanda Lee and Pam for Teapot and Tea Things Tuesday.
What a tearific tree!!!! I have some tea cup ornaments too, but none like the ones you show today. Nice ones!
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely idea! I have some miniature tea cups too, perhaps they will hang from my Christmas Tree this year...

What fun! I want a tree like yours!!!!!!!! It was in one of the catalogs I received recently (perhaps smithsonian) ... a whole bunch of teacup ornaments. Now where did I put that catalog???? It's all your fault!!!!! :D :D :D
ReplyDeleteHappy Tea Day!
Love your tree. I had never seen these delightful miniatures before. I feel another possible collection might be added to my list! ;)
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing these.
Maureen
Love that Wedgewood cup. My husband and I looked at some Wedgewood when we were visiting England, but didn't end up bringing any home. Now I regret it!
ReplyDeleteEvery year when I see your collection, Angela's, and Linda's little tea ornaments I think I really must look more. I love your collection. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteI love your minis! I can't wait to put my trees up - soon God willing! I'm showing some minis too if you'd like to come on over and see them.
ReplyDeleteWow! The teacup decorated tree is wonderful and what a good idea.I see you have blue toile curtains in the back ground, I to have blue toile curtains, and also pillows, well, anything blue toile. I just might steal your tree decorating idea.
ReplyDeleteOh, I do love your tea-themed ornaments! The only one I have is the Wedgwood cup and saucer -- and that is purely thanks to your excellent shopping tip from last year! (BTW, I just got back from a run to T.J. Maxx, and did you know Portmeirion has teapot ornaments? I got both designs for myself and two more for the Tea for Toys door prizes!)
ReplyDeleteAngela,
ReplyDeleteI love Portmeirion china. Looks like a trip to T.J.Maxx coming up. Thanks for the heads up.
Wonderful Tree!! I wish my tree was up!! Love your mini's They are very special! So happy you shared these with us. If anyone wasn't getting into the spirit of the season they will now.
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to seeing you soon.
Blessings,
Pam
