It seems like the older you get the faster the year flies by. When I was a kid my Dad was always telling me “don’t wish your life away”. You know how that goes – I wish it was summer holidays, or my birthday or Christmas. Now I wish things would slow down instead.
Christmas in July for crafters makes sense now. I’ve left it too late again and now I’m scrambling to finish gift bags, etc.
At least the little gift tote bags can be whipped up in a hurry. They are much quicker than the snowmen. How about you – have you finished your Christmas crafting?
Now for something not craft related – a new tea that I tried on the long drive to St. Augustine.
Rooibos tea is not a favorite of mine, but I like pomegranate and passion fruit, so I thought this was worth a try. I was pleasantly surprised by the unique refreshing flavor. It’s nice that it doesn’t contain caffeine either and at 50 calories not too much of an indulgence.
Yes, crafting for Christmas in July does make sense doesn't it? Wish I woulda... I'm no where near done... in fact I think I should ne stitching, not blogging.... better go!
ReplyDeleteLove your tote bag, and he snowman bags are gorgeous!

Great tote bags. Yes, there is never enough time. Rooibos is not my favorite. I once had a friend tell me to boil rooibos tea and it gives it a very rich flavor. I have tried it and have recommended it to others.
ReplyDeleteOh, I love your precious little gift bags! Those are a gift in themselves!
ReplyDeleteI haven't seen that tea, but it sounds so good. I love my tea - iced or hot! Thank you for popping in to see me,
Be a sweetie,
Shelia :)
I don't think I have ever been prepared for Christmas. Ideas are always floating in my head, and nothing ever gets done. I'm the ultimate procrastinator. Haven't even finished creating an Advent Calendar, and it is what...12/2...My poor children;)
ReplyDeleteYour snowman bags are just lovely!

Your snowmen gift bags are adorable, as is the wonderful tote! I think I could get one or two of those done...just finished a quilt, but its for me...first one I've made and kept. I do want to make another one for my sister, so once the decorating is finished, I'll start. I also understand beginning Christmas projects in July...only I have so many other summery things to do, its hard to think about Christmas, and it always seems like there's plenty of time...well, we know that isn't true!
ReplyDeleteI haven't heard of Rooibos tea...is that a brand or a flavor?
Have a great time with your projects...hope you get them all done and still have time to relax with a cup of tea!
Mary
Your bags are lovely! And as far as finishing Christmas crafts, I haven't started yet! (But I do plan to make a couple of quick and easy things.)
ReplyDeleteFinished yet?!?!?!? I haven't even thought that far! LOL! Beautiful projects though.
ReplyDeleteThe fabric on your snowman tote is adorable!
ReplyDeleteOf course I'm not any where near being ready for Christmas with my crafting. My problem is I love making things for people, but I have a hard time doing so early enough in the year. I worry that by the time Christmas rolls around they won't like what I made. It's silly, I know.
Glad you had safe travels over thanksgiving! :)
