Every now and then go away, have a little relaxation, for when you come back to your work your judgment will be surer. - Leonardo DaVinci
The abundance of beautiful lakes, plants and birds in Florida is always such a pleasant surprise, and especially in a busy central location like Orlando.
It is so nice to take the time to relax and really appreciate the surroundings – to come home and not need a vacation from your vacation.
We spent most days enjoying the many amenities of Oasis Lakes At The Fountains resort. The beautiful swimming pools, our spacious balcony overlooking Lake Eve and the many paved walking paths were wonderful. There were 54 acres to explore. The resort had many organized children's activities for Christian and even some for Don and I, like merengue dance class. Some were family oriented like a game night (Deal Or No Deal) and Bingo.
You can see what a lovely view we had from our third floor balcony, even though this photo was taken through screen. This view of one of the pools was from the side and the lake at the right was in front of us. The lake view could also be enjoyed from the living room since a wall of sliding glass faced the lake.
We enjoyed our character breakfast at Disney’s Grand Floridian resort on our anniversary. I’ll share my tea purchases and photos later. Our first visit to a Bahama Breeze restaurant was also nice – great seafood paella and tostones (fried plantains topped with chicken, sweet peppers, mushrooms, onions, cheese and fresh salsa – unusual but yummy).
I’d definitely recommend this resort as a pleasant place to get away and I hope to stay there again next time we visit Orlando.
So glad you had a lovely trip.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you enjoyed your FL vacation! We live about 1 hour north east of Orlando!

Your trip sounds wonderful! It can be very relaxing to stay in a well-planned environment. Reminds me of my stay at the Gaylord Texan resort in Dalllas. Glad you had a great time.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely place to get away and relax. I so often am one that needs a vacation after the vacation; so this sounds very enticing. And the food looks very good.
ReplyDeleteWelcome back! Sounds like you had a great time, and your photos are great! Can't wait to hear and see more!
ReplyDeleteMmmmmmmmmm........doesn't that look like a delish dish....for your special day! Happy Anniversary! And, what a beautiful spot. It looks just dreamy. And, you're a lover of Bubble Tea? YUMMMMMM! I'm not partaking of it any longer, since I've given up sugar, but I do love it.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful week sweetie!
Hugs,
Spencer

Thanks for stopping by at my blog. You have a very pretty blog and it looks like you had a nice time in Florida. I've had a fantastic time in Florida when I went on a girly holiday with three friends but it was in 1990 and I can't believe how the time has flown by!
ReplyDeleteDarling, welcome back!! I am so glad to have you back, blogging wasn’t the same without my parTea Lady. Glad to hear you had a marvelous time, the seafood paella looks absolutely delicious. I make the dish from time to time, my family loves it. I do however need to purchase the proper dish, I make mine in a shallow pot. Have a lovely Tuesday, mine is almost done.
